The Sweaty Palms of Shame
The fear of shame whispers: What if all this preparation wasn't enough? It doesn't matter that rationally you know you've done the work, because the fear doesn't operate on logic. It operates on the primal human need to be seen as competent, capable, and worthy. Fear won't disappear with more preparation, and trying to eliminate it through endless practice. That only feeds the belief that you need to be perfect to be acceptable.
Realize What to Look for
Active listening is paradoxical: highly sought after, yet meaningless without context. Through personal stories of music, animals, technology, and coaching, I explore how deep attention quietly shapes judgment, learning, and human connection.
You Want to be Present But Keep Thinking About Your X
Presence. Elusive one, this is. When trying too hard, you might end up with even less attention to what's important. Try to shift perspective by letting thoughts fly and focus on one thing only. To catch them, only to let go again. Observing and accepting them as they are. Ideas, not truths on their own.
